Fine Art Color Cityscape Photograph by Brad Rickerby - Seattle

Pike Street Market, Seattle, Washington

The difficult part of creating this image was getting a person to stand still long enough for the cars in the foreground to blur and for him to be seen as a person. As usual I'm trying to blend many layers, trying to make the image more visually interesting while giving a sense of what the location is really like. Excitement. I want to create excitement through my images. The moving cars fill the foreground. The subject of this picture is the iconic market sign. Having at least one person in the frame creates the sense that this is a place people want to go. All that neon creates wonderful red light that permeates the photograph. (f 4.5 at 1/10 of a second. Using a 70mm lens)
